We'll be there. We always set up in the swap meet area. They just plopped a brand new building down in part of the swap area so we're not quite sure yet what kind of space we'll have yet. Look us up for flathead goodies. Also trying to get rid of a lot of other car stuff we accumulated last year so our space should be FULL!

Car buffs donate $50K to hospital

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Good things happening

The Pumpkin Run Nationals closed 2003 with a hefty donation to the Cincinnati Shriners Hospital.
Officials of the show, which is formally known as the Fastiques Rod & Custom Show of Southern Ohio, gave the hospital a $50,000 check last month.

The major event last year for the show brought in 3,000 vintage autos and trucks from across the country that met at the Clermont County Fairgrounds for a weekend of events in October.

"This show was one of our biggest,'' said Frank Witt, director of Fastiques. "It is always on the first Sunday in October. The antique car owners come in on Friday and stay through Sunday.''

The local club was founded in 1973 by owners of older cars, ranging from street rods to customs and restored classics. The local chapter is an affiliate of the National Street Rod Association.

Witt said the group has donated more than $325,000 to Shriners Hospital since 1996.

The group uses the name Pumpkin Run Nationals because it is always held in the fall. The name, Fastiques, refers to fast antiques, Witt said.

Cincinnati Shriners Hospital is one of 22 health-care outlets in the Shriners Hospitals for Children system, which offer specialized orthopedic, spinal cord and burn care to children.

Just an FYI after registration (usually late evening)some of us cruise down the street to Roy Rogers for some eats and BS just a mile or so down st rt 32. The restaurant is owned by the same man and ran by his two sons neat stuff on the walls from a long time ago.

Fastiques Annual Car Show Donates $50,000 to SHC

    December 22, 2009

The Fastiques Rod & Custom Club of Southern Ohio donated another $50,000 to Shriners Hospitals for Children®, making their grand total contribution to the pediatric health care system over $600,000!

</PR>The donation comes in part from the "Pumpkin Run Nationals," an annual gathering of almost 3,000 vintage autos and trucks from across the country. The show, held every October at the Clermont County Fairgrounds, draws thousands of visitors from across the country. "This is one of the largest shows of its kind," states Dan Gavey, president of the Fastiques Club. "We're extremely proud of our show and our ability to contribute to Shriners Hospitals for Children®." </P>
Since 1996, the Fastiques have donated to Shriners Hospitals for Children®, plus other causes in the area, such as the Earth Angel Foundation and The Clermont County Fairboard. The club was founded in 1973 by owners of older cars, ranging from street rods, customs and restored classics.
In 2000, members of the Fastiques were honored by receiving the Eagle One's prestigious "Golden Rule Award." This nationally recognized award is given in recognition to street rod and classic car clubs who make exceptional contributions to their communities. Fastiques is a chapter affiliate of the National Street Rod Association.

We've been watching the weather for the weekend and it looks good!. Mostly sunny and cool (high in low 70's). We'll be there setup in the swap meet area. Look for the flathead V8 sign on the white canopy. Holler now if there's something you need and we'll try to have it there............... Mac VP
