Neat looking chop. Are you sure the DeSoto was a '50, that the window came from? Because I've got a window out of one, and it's got pointed corners.

I'm actually reworking a chopped '50 DeSoto right now, and they used a '50 Dodge rear window to replace the DeSoto one, because of the corners on it. That's why I ask.

Have you thought of pancaking the deck lid to make it flow better?

    Something kinda like this:

Looks kind of odd upside down, but hey, it works and doesn't look bad so who cares? I love buick specials. Been hoping to run across a two door for years. Grew up seeing a kid about 10 years old than I was at the time (I was ten) putting one around the car shows. First time I ever saw flame throwers on a car..fell in love. Saw the car in a magazine a few months back covered in a gnarly flame job.

    Looks good!

A curved rear door top would be nice.
Maybe something like a '55 Ford Fordor (without the vent window)?

here it is pretty well buttoned up.

  27. looks better with all the trim, the deck lid could be a bit lower but it looks much better with all its trim and whitewalls.
