for those of you that came out and supported us, thank you very much! for those of you that couldn't make it, stay tuned for our next one, it may be coming to a burger stand near you! it was a great turnout, The Strays, The Yaks and about 30+ cars showed up! not bad for our 3rd guerilla cruise! and best of all, we helped support a mom and pop burger joint (it is not a fat burger yet). heres the link to my album... http://s715.photobucket.com/albums/ww156/Raunchero63/LBCC Cruise Night 3/ and a couple of pics to give you an idea of what you missed out on! Pastrami w/ cheese, pickles, sourkraut and Chili!
a night cruise in helLA, this could be interesting. lemme know when you go cruise Masterson's shop, i want to come down.
Eric dude, that pic you took of Eryk's '67 is faboulastic! It sparkles like its here! I wish this damn computer would allow me to upload photobucket w/out crashing the hell out of the whole system! Robert Jam, the Merc is from The Strays, but other than that i dunno what to say, the Galaxie wagon too i believe.
once a month, location and date has yet to be determined. keep an eye out, we are also always looking for ideas of where to have the next one. we prefer it to be a mom & pop burger/taco stand. prefer it to have a walk up window & have a nice sized parking, friendly for lowered cars. our goal is to just lend a hand and help a neighborhood burger stand in need of some business, and try to give those who come out a great atmosphere to hang out in. GassersGarage, should have came out, a couple of us from the SGV got off of the freeway cause there was too much traffic on the 101, so we took Cesar Chavez/Sunset all the way to the 101 to bypass the traffic. that turned out to be a great idea cause everyone was snapping their necks trying to take pictures and look at the cars cruising through echo park & silverlake!
Oh yeah! Looks like a hip turnout. I spy another 59 Ford tu-door Ranch Wagon, right on bro. Here's mine. My avatar is its mighty mighty six with the supercharger disguised as a air cleaner, not. Love that back porch on the white f-100 pick-up, very original and very cool. Pastrami-Yum! ~Sololobo~
I went on a breakfast cruise, awhile ago, with the Early Rodders. Unbeknowst to me, they changed the location. I got stopped at a red light by the freeway on ramp. I tried to catch up but lost them. They said they were going to "Phillipe"s" by Olvera Street. I drove around downtown in a '32 Highboy. Boy, did the homeless people get a charge out of that. Lots of shouts and thumbs up. My grandparents use to manage the "Boss Hotel" (which is gone) at 5th and San Julien.
