  2. I'm thinking with a 103 patch panels in the wagon I could be in the running.

But,it's all been cut out and replaced with new metal and painted now.HRP

That's kind of like asking who has the skidmarkiest pair of underpants, isn't it?

  6. OK I'm not proud of this and these pictures don't really do it justice. I traded this off a year ago but I still have it so I guess its mine.

Even the engine is rusty. :D

The floor pans and trunk floor need help as well. But seeing as I still own it it'll get repaired properly before I'm done. Believe it or not the rockers are solid on this one at least the outers.

I am pleased to say that the rest of my stuff is rock solid and this one is last in line for a revamp.

I'd post a picture of one of mine, but somebody would just call it a rat rod. Don't wanna upset anybody.

I fear this thread is doomed to destruction... The same way rust laden cars are ultimately doomed to die a horrible death.

Yeah.....not the direction I was looking for. I guess I was talking more like project cars rather than rusty hot rods.

    This is our project:

  11. It only counts as a Junk Rod (rat rod) if you consider it finished. I personally wouldn't be upset by it even if you do consider it finished because someone someday might get it and make it right.

I don't see the post as doomed the real trad guys are only going to be posting the before pictures. To see the beginnings of a hot rod is always cool if you also get to see the end result.

I'm still embarrased by mine, but I know if I don't die first it will become a real smooth cruiser for Mrs. beaner.

  12. here is mine ! you couldn't tell from the pictures ! she needs some work ! chicken wire, foam, body filler under the primer. Before I bought it had a huge hole over the passenger side taillight. Fun car ,always wanted a Nomad can't complain.

  14. Ok, I'll humor ya. Bought this for about scrap price and it runs & drives. Even has a nifty no-name floor shifter.

Seems like Nads and J. Fishbeck are competing with their 59s but Jim Sibley and flamedabone always have some project they resurrect from near death. Does that make them the "skidmarkiest?" Hahaha. Love that term, Gigantor. :D

  19. How about my '37 - 100% original patina? :p

  24. Well doesn't look rusted completely away but it is well on its way.

Damned shame it was obvoiusly a real custom at one time. Good to see it didn't get squished. Be sweet to know the history on it.

A chopped Merc two door on its way to the junkyard? Holy crap.

This is a '49 Merc I am building for Fermiumhalo. This thing was utter garbage.

  26. I'd like to see more pics of this. Rolled pan screams early sixties to me. I would dig a side shot, showing how the rear window is placed.

Yeah, they usually rotted off about 12 minutes after leaving the dealership. That is a really really nice one.
