Homespun...I had a '72 and a '71, both had adapters and regular Mopar cases. Only in Canada? maybe?
They both were 345 engines, the later ones used Rambler mills, did they have special cases?

Large_911, the v-8 version of the 904 came to life in 65 behind the 273. No 'button drive...

The other TF not yet mentioned is the one used by AMC. Not many left laying around.

If you cannot find ready made pieces to hook it all together let me know, I may need a Winter project...

I went with a 455/turbo 400 combo and a single piece driveline in my 57. Had the turbo 400 built to 600hp. The TH400 built right is hard to beat and not the costly. It is one fast car and the swap was easy peasy.

Thanks, man. I'll let you know! The winter may be a good time to me to start sourcing parts. My preferred choice is to still use the 1962-'64 push-button, small block 727 T/F with a few mods. Let me know if you can source one, as I would be easier and more efficient for me to just have someone rebuild one.

i was in no way knocking the 904. back when i was dragracing the pros told me that they changed out auto trans after about 50 runs. i dont think the good stuff for the 904 was available until they hooked it to the 360 engine. then one got 4 gear planets, 5 clutch 3rd gear,a wider band and some even got a low gear pac. i have one that could be called a clutch-flite. no converter just a flywheel with a pump drive. seems like it dumps fluid pressure with the clutch peddle for stopping. oh and a manual valve body
