Green primer question

    What's the most popular green primer color I see alot on some of these cars,I need to know the brand ,Someone I know wants to primer and sell his car in this color.

    Most likely its DPLF made by PPG its called a gray/green epoxy. Not sure what number it is 90 is black and 70 is red i think.

    Dont know .Just go to shows and see alot of green primer cars .Like I said its for someone else .

    DPLF Epoxy Primer comes in 6 colors;
    DP40LF (Gray–Green), DP48LF (White),
    DP50LF (Gray), DP60LF (Blue), DP74LF
    (Red Oxide), and DP90LF (Black).

    It may also be paint, there are a lot of good flat olive drab greens out there these days.

    "Green" primer is zinc chromate and will stick to all metals . Provided they are clean.Great for painting chrome or stainless trim pieces.

    Yep... that's the green primer that comes to mind first. It's good stuff.

    The color is about like a Fannie May mint meltaway.

    [​IMG]this is a military water base epoxy I just bought some off of *-bay got 2 gal for 60 bucks shipped :eek:.... hope it helps:cool:

    DuPont has 2580CR epoxy that is green.
    2510s- light gray
    2540s- med gray
    2570s- dark gray
    2590s- black

    Just about every paint company has colored epoxy primers- just remember that all epoxy primers fade out in the sun. You might try using flattened urethane topcoats. You can get the auto paint store to match it to the color you want. If price is an issue try an industrial flat topcoat. Most large auto paint stores carry industrial paint also.
