Just got mine last month...460/C6. Working on replacing the 4.27 gear set with something a little more reasonable for a long haul...

I picked this up last Saturday near Rodchester Mn for 600 bucks. It is a 65 F100. Under the hood is a fire breathing 240 six backed up by a 3 speed manual. This puppy is geared sorta low, it likes to go about 50 mph. The truck started out being used in the US Army. There are all kinds of cool stickers on the dash and there is a big plate proclaiming that the truck is government property. Right now I use it as a daily driver.

Here is the 49 F1 Im building for my daughter with 51 front sheetmetal. It sits on a 80s Mercury car frame and I wouldnt suggest doing it again as its too wide. I used a 390 Ford with C6 tranny. Those are vicegrips holding the running boards up.

Here's our '51 street/strip, ready for a day at the strip.

    We ran 8.99 in the 1/8th, 1.90s 60 foot.

We won four new tires in the burnout contest the next day and four more tires a year later.

Notice, the 1943 baby seat in it.

My 54 was that way, Running a year ago doesn't mean it's gonna run now(mine was locked up). How's the floor and cab corners rust wise? I notice the hood is gonna need work. If it was me I'd offer them a grand to start and go from there.

That would be about my top offer. If it's got rust through in the front of the hood, I'd hate to see what the area around the front cab mounts looks like.
