Well this thread has turned into a real Flame War (excuse the unavoidable pun).
I think that flamethrowers grew out of the desire to mimic the drag racers and show how awesomly powerful your engine is. The problem, like most fads and fashion, is when they inflate to silly proportions right before they flame-out from ridicule.

Fire is just like any other shiny object that tends to captivate an audience.

maybe thats exactly his point, you dont belong here. i havent seen a more appropiate name. you told me youre "older lincoln" was a '90, that still isnt hamb friendly. you should probably sell the honda and get a REAL car, like a 64 lincoln. Otherwise you should go to a different forum.

Huh, this is still open. Anyway, I knew someone that put flamethrowers on his '93 Mercury Topaz, which he had custom dual exhaust made for it. Sooooooo yeah, at some point certain things just become a novelty.

Personally, I think they're alright but it would get old after a week. Kind of like by the end of July I get tired of seeing fireworks because they all start to look the same, then by next summer they start to be cool again. So in short, maybe they're just a fad.

flamethrowers are awesome!!!!! I say if you dont like them-dont put them on your car!!!!!!!!! I love reading the hamb! old school guys think "their" def of traditional is "the way it was" and it may have been where they lived, but fads or styles also differed back then from place to place just like they do now. BUILD WHAT YOU WANT!!!!!!!

Has any one tried a whole seperate system? I am talking about an electric fuel pump on a seperate coil with a memontary contact switch. I have read about backfires and don't know if this would dump too much fuel at on time.

Sorry man, mods that serve no purpose are clownshoes.

If you like it, that's fine. Most people will just be laughing at you.
