My 37 already had suicde drs. but I wanted hidden hinges, I used 55 Ford F100 hinges [ I mean I had them put in]. I did have them rebushed first, they were pretty worn, still less then $100.00 for 2 pair. There was an how-to article in one of the magazines a couple years back.

 

You can buy a hinge kit pretty reasonable (thornbeck brothers-suicidedoors.com) I definitatly would go with two hinges pure door and get the pins as close to the 'skin' of the car as you can. The rest is some bracing from floor to as high as you can, more rigid the better.
