I picked up this '49 Plymouth today to eventually replace my late model '74 350/350-powered Jaguar XJ6 as my daily driver. I've been keeping an eye out for a P15 for a while but when this came up for sale for $750 I decided I had to jump on it. The previous owner rebuilt/replaced pretty much the entire braking system and made good headway on the body work.

He replaced one of the rocker panels and included a replacement for the other side with the car. For a Wisconsin car I thought it was incredibly solid. A majority of the rust is on the floor so I'll be spending some quality time next weekend fixing that. Then I'm going to drive the hell out of it while getting the interior and minor electrical problems sorted out.

    Haha, you're hilarious.

For everyone else's benefit, the pics were taken at Jesse's (Phil Johnson's) house.

I'll have to make it a point to take some more pictures in better lighting conditions this next weekend. Sadly I'm stuck at work 100 miles away from the car so I won't be able to do anything but dream until the weekend.

This thing is a tank compared to my 53 Willys. The ride quality is a bit better and overall I think it is better quality. But I think my Willys is faster :D
