So today I head out on my window washing route, the first stop is the local Chevy dealership. I'm walking by the service dept and spot this nifty little Model A roadster sitin there idlin and she aint no banger! So I walk up and look under the hood and there is a 66 327 out of a vette in it ! I struck up a conversation with the owner and he tells me that his wife's grandfather put the car together in 1958 from a couple cars they had on the farm, they towed a little camper and took her with them sometimes. In 1970 is when the vette motor was put in, its hooked to a 3 speed with overdrive. The owner starts to tell me that they want to "do some things to update the car" I told him to leave it alone and enjoy it the way it is, I said with the history that car has any of his updates would screw it up......of course I mentioned they could just sell it to me and I would take good care of it!

Very cool! Looks just like the motor in my 33, but mine isn't a 'Vette motor. I must be the only guy without a Vette motor! LOL.
Now that's cool...if'n someone says "another boring small block chevy", Ima gonna smack 'em in the mouth!
That car is awesome, I hope you go this contact info, get him on the site so we can show him the way. A tasteful interior touchup wouldnt hurt it along with some general detailing and clean up,

There must have been 20 million vettes with 327's in them because everytime you see a 327 it came out of a vette.
Neat find. Cool they've had it in family so long. I'd hate to see what it would turn out to be if they updated it. It could lose all it's soul.
Yeah.... Hemi's are the new Corvette motor... But Hemi's are known to take you to the cleaners faster than it can down the road...!
I know, it is true though, kinda like in the 80 's when there were more 67 427 435 cars than chevrolet made.
