I inherited this 48 Buick a few months ago and had planned on selling it. I have been driving it quite-a-bit lately, and actually have begun to like it. It needs some minor repairs and a paint job, but it runs, drives, and stops great. Thinking about lowering it a little and driving the crap out of it. Any ideas?
I wouldn't paint that, she's a beauty. Keep it, unless you think you can buy something nicer at the stealership. Can't!
Not the original paint, it was repainted in the early eighties. Interior was also done at that time back to original specs. My biggest problem right now is I have to many projects, and not enough shop space. Thanks for the input...
You inherited it, so someone who loved that car wanted you to have it. I'd keep it just for that reason, not to mention the fact that it's a great car. There's gotta be another project you could get rid of to make space for this one. And I would not repaint or tear this car apart in any way. You say you already have too many "projects" (not too many cars) so don't turn this one into a project too. Keep it as a driver and just maintain it mechanically.
I think you need to get rid of it!! That is sooo ugly that it needs to be given away and not sold.. I know who is willing to take it off your hands!! ME!! Send it to me!! Cool car!! John
If it was in the family I would keep it. Either way I would keep it, that is one beautiful car. I love that body style and I also would just maintain and drive it. If you want to modify it do it when your other projects are finished. No one in my family is cool enough to leave me a car like that.
nice car. i would drop it a couple of inches (without cutting) and make it mechanically sound...hell i looks like a mild custom bone stock!
