Mine for a long while now, been laid up for way too long. Hooking up the last few wires to the new engine and ready to start it up for the first time, then find a spot for the battery, bolt on the front sheet metal and back in the saddle.

As far as I have been able to research, the 1940 Willys woodie was sold new by Hutchings Garage to Fred Langford - here is a scan of the original postcard sent to Mr. Langford.

Here's a shot of my tin woodie with the old '50 grille on it, somewhere I have a recent picture with the correct '51 grille.

  17. I have had mine since the 90's. Won an award with it at the Cleveland Auto-Rama in 2000 as the worst car of the Milenium. Still haven't done anything with it. Have had is for sale in the classified, time for someone to do it...

My '49 is in storage. Collecting parts right now. Have to paint my daughters car first then I'll have room in the garage.

My baby woodie. I'm not convinced that wood is a good material for cars.

Hutchings Garage turned in to Hutchings Carbureter Service , then went out of business. There's still people around that worked there.

  29. Here's one of my buddies, Larry "Boyd" Bowen with the '40 Woody that he has owned since the 70's. It's a "work in progress".

  30. Here is mine, fiberglass wanting to be wood.
I will get around to hand brushing the rest of the faux wood one day.
