Thought you guys might like to have a browse over the pics of my T bucket wheelie from our Bank Holiday weekend, which was 8 days ago. I know T buckets are pretty much hated here but if you like Hot Rods, you must love drag racing...and the drag racers amongst you may enjoy these. The damage was pretty wholesome with a bent chassis, trashed 'glide and ruined front end amongst the problems. The car is nearly finished now after burning lots of midnight oil...its our "Hot Rod Drags" event in less than two weeks and we'll definitely be there. !! Incidentally, this T is street legal and more important, street driven. Runs 8.8 @ 155 in the 1/4. Now with video added !!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgwichB3AaA
Ouch! A T bucket without bars, is just waiting for trouble. Hope the repairs includes some bars, at least for the drags. Thanks for sharing. Have fun and be safe. And yes, I've bent some axles myself.
I usually run wheelie bars but this track never has any grip....until now !! My own fault and I'm not crying on about it..... I've only been in racing and rods for 5 years so experience can be a tough teacher but as they say...you live and learn.
Nice Fuel Altered impersonation! ;-) Add some zoomies and you're set! I hope all goes well with the rebuild and you're back out having fun in no time.
When something wild like this happens and after you realize your not hurt, you allways hope, did someone get pics or vidieo. Now you can hang the pics on the garage wall with the damaged parts nearby for bench racing conversation.
Great sequence there. Bummer about the damage. Still, we should always enjoys it when somebody pays to entertain us What track is that? Doesn't look like Santa Pod or LongMarston/Avon/Shakesphere.
