Anyone have pictures of a 1958 Thunderbird gasser? The woman is selling it cheap and said it was her ex husbands car in a magazine from the 1960's. It has sat in her garage for 35 years and she wants it out. I don't feel too bad sniping it, she had in her divorce papers that she would hold on to it for a year, 35 years ago. I am going to look at it Thursday soo just wanted some info if any was to be had.
There weren't many T-Bird Gassers running back then ,,might help to know her X-Husbands name ,,Bill Coon ran a '57 T-Bird Gasser,,,
'56 T-Bird gasser? Waiting on pics......................................................................................................................................................still waiting.....................
I have not seen it yet. I will try to get some photo's Thursday to see what it is. She described it but she knows nothing about cars so I have no idea what it really is yet.
Why are you waiting till Thursday! Somebody else is probably leaving work early to go over and buy it today.
Please, post it here when you get pics. Back in the 60s Robert Morris of College Park, GA (south ATL metro) ran a 55/56 tbird on the local dirt ovals. Think it was built from a total. Dave
Best get round there with a camera so we can perv over the pics, er I mean, so we can identify the car
I'd post on this thread...but I'm too busy taking off work early to get over there and snipe this thing while 'when I get there' is busy finding his camera. dj
Just the stance, the silly Moon tank, the wide tires, the single carb, sticking out of the hood. Other than that, it's a good start...
if its the one iam thinking about , you better not buy it . Where is it at ? don't be trying to screw her out of it either......lucky.
Yeah, I would be a little afraid of waiting too long on this, even a day or two. As soon as someone utters anything about selling something and gets a little bite, then the next thing you know she is telling everyone she knows that someone is coming over soon to buy "that old car". The next thing you know, someone is sniping YOU. Can't wait to see it though. Can't be too far away from me either as I am less than two hours from you.
Check out this Old HAMB Thread ,,,might find a pic of it there ,,sum really kQQl old T-Bird Gassser Pics ,, http://66.154.44.164/forum/showthread.php?t=108351
If I knew about a '56 T-bird gasser for sale cheap, I'd be there as soon as I had directions to where it is. Even in this economy that's a car that will sell fast.
