i am doing research on my 1960 ford f100 and on the month code on my shop manual, it has first year and second year. does that mean that one year is 1959 and 1960 or what.
I don't have a clue what you're talking about. Maybe if you explained it better? or scan the manual where it talks about the code, or quote exactly what it says?

What is the manual talking about, where this chart appears? And what specific manual do you have, does it cover more than one year of truck? is it a Ford manual, or some other publisher?
It is talking about truck identification and it is a 1960 ford truck shop manual. So only for 1960 ford truck. The section talks about truck vin number, motor, tranny, color, rear end, that sorta stuff
