I think the Italia (red one) could be pulled of with a Galaxie roof, I really like the way it lightens the look of the car. Of course you loose the Bird look to an extent.

Oz...thanks again for all the info & help. The T-bird I am going to be chopping will be going to my son..we are working on a tight budget but I want to do everything right on this car. The engine, tranny, & rear end are already rebuilt..I just have to finish the suspension & the rest of the body work..Some of the body work i have already completed. My sone loves the lines on the T-bird that you chopped & said he would be happy if we could get his to look half as smooth as yours.

No sir, thank you. It was a great pleasure seeing the 1940 Mercury at KKOA last year.

  9. I remember a "How To" on chopping a bullet bird in Custom Rodder (I think it was).
I don't remember what issue and don't have my stash anymore. Maybe someone else can track it down for you.
If it wasn't CR it was Rod and Custom. Hows that for a definite maybe?

A 63-65 Rivvy rear window might be the ticket.
