Saving the 33 for the birthday run. It has always been my goal to drive my coupe by my B-day.

Plus, there is nothing like the view from a roadster, and this years run has some spectacular views.

    see you all on sunday.

Jake, we will have to draw straws to see who is driving the roadster if I am driving the coupe.

Coupe looks killer, thought you were going to run an Olds motor? Oh, that's right - your blood flows blue.

Here are a few photos from the day. Thanks Dave for doing another great job with the run and thanks to the guys putting up with a hot running flattie, it was fun driving with you. This is what hotrodding is all about, driving your cars and meeting people with the same idea.

O.K., I have just reread Denise's guide to posting pics on here. I think I got it right from now on.

Here's some of the carnage from the run. At one point my transmission decided it didn't like the reverse idler gear.

    Dave and The Lucky Bastards,
What a great day! You really put together an interesting trip for us. Wine country, Clearlake, Cloverdale. Great roads, cool people and a bunch of awesome hot rods. Thanks for making this a Labor Day tradition. I put on over 400 miles yesterday, and had a smile on my face for every one of them.
    Thanks for the invite.

I so wish the '32 was done so I could have bomb'ed along with ya all but head'n up for beers in Cloverdale was just dandy as well... That was a perfect day for HotRod'n! Here's a little clip of the cars head'n out of HELLSBURG!

In 1988 I drove a 41 Chevy Coupe 1000 miles to Wyoming. Every stop for gas or food someone would want to talk about old cars. It was a great experience.

Dave, once again, a great run! The route this year was fantastic!! Thanks again for the many many hours you put into this event, searching the roads and also the eating and drinking spots you find for us. The very TOP of my list of things to do each year. Many thanks!

Next year, I WILL be driving the 5 window and not just working on it when I get home!
