    Mick,
The car belongs to Ron Kilmer in Springfield, the same guy that has the Lil' Coffin II
I'll get some photos for you.

I LOVE the way they wrapped that Duvall windshield into the posts. Kick ass!

Ya just don't know who will see your post on the HAMB, Carl Green legendary customizer
told me that he would get us some pictures and he pulled through. Carl took pics from
all angles to show off all of the details of this sinful looking Roadster.

I saw this '36 at NSRA Springfield and it was the koolest car that I've seen in a long time.
Come to find out Ron Englert from Springfield, Mo. built this Kustom that has a very
classy "Valley Custom"style. Ron is not new to the game You might remember the Lil Koffin
clone, He was the guy to pull off that buiild. The guy has some skills! I was told that Ron
Kilmer bought the roadster and some of the work had already been started but he sure
finished it .... Enjoy the details, I plan on calling Ron tomorrow and trying to find out more
    details.

I was going to wait until tomorrow to post the pics but when I saw the exhaust I just
couldn't wait. Thanks Carl for sending me the pics and thanks to Ron for building such
a classy kustom. I know what I'll be dreaming about tonight.....

Only took 3 months, but it was worth the wait! Thank you very much for the pictures.

I don't think I like the bumpers....at all.....but the rest of the car is awesome.

That is one slick car. Serous modifications but so understated that it looks like it may have come that way to begin with.

The car is a 1939 Ford with the '36 front end added and the Duval incorporated into the '39 posts. It was built for a man in Philadelphia with the work being done at a rod shop in Florida if I remember correctly. This was about 15 years ago. The names escape me for now. He also had the first fiberglass '36 Ford Boattail Roadster, one of which I am presently building for myself.

It was funny because of all of the cars that were there that weekend I thought that this
one stood out. Carl took care of us by taking some great pics, I was hoping for maybe a
front and rear angle and maybe even an interior pic. But wow, Ive seen it better now
    then in person.

I think the bumpers look better in person then in pics. The reason I like the bumpers it
helps desguise the custom work, it makes ya think. Was that on there originally?

Hood ornament? Do ya know what it is off of? The 'Flying Lady' from a Rolls Royce Silver
Cloud. Each ornament was hand carved and cast in silver! A very unique piece on the
car and adds to the cars class.. Rolls should have built this car.

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

Looks very much like a vintage piece that showed up unfinished at the Pate Swap Meet about 35 years ago.

  26. WOW!

As for the bumpers, I like the rear but think the front needs bumperettes.

That is one sweet looking ride. Hope to get mine looking half as nice as that some day. Some interior picks would be nice Staycats.

I called Ron and he said that the Roadster came from Sherman Texas and was started
back in the fifties. The guy did it in his back yard and considerng the conditions he did
a great job. It woul dbe kool if the guy ws still around to see what it ended up looking
lke. He would have a had to been pleased..

Hopefully next year at the Stray Kat 500 you'll be able to see the roadster.

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

I agree... the whole rear treatment is right on in my opinion.
