Ok, I searched and found what I need to do (adjust the 1st gear band) to make my PG quit acting goofy in first.

    (53 BelAIr, 35K miles).

Now, the car sat for 35 years in a barn with a dirt floor. The inderside is caked with very hard to remove Georgia Red Clay Mud/Dirt. I am having trouble identifying exactly which screw does the adjusting. I spent the better part of an hour scraping mud of the trans and its still messy and hard to see.

Which part on this photo (that I shamelessly stole form the web) am I looking to adjust?

it has been flushed twice now.

It's doing the bit where it wont engage in 1st (warm only) until the throttle is pressed and revs come up.
