I just bought this from my Dad. My daughter has had her eye on this for a while. She is now 13 so hopfully she will still be in to it when she is 16. She and I would like to do a mild custom out of it. Post some pictures give me some inspiration.
Heres some wheel and tire ideas that looks good with the blue. If the red is a too done to death of a look for you maybe you could tweak it a little bit with burgundy
This one is my favorite. I heard it was Dan Collins. But I thought it is from Japan. This truck is what pushed me to by this one.
Yep, It will also be neat to hang out and do a "Father / Daughter" project. She helped me out alot when I painted my t-bird. So I think it will be fun for sure.
Here's the story on the black truck. It's not mine. It belongs to one of the guys from a lowrider shop in Japan. It's also one of my favorites. I gave it my pick award at the Mooneyes Yokohama show two years ago. Maybe that's where the confusion came in. I had a 57 chevy step when I was about 17. It was black laquer with flames with a louvered hood chrome steelies and thin whitewalls. It had a jag front clip and a 9 inch and a California rake. I currently still own the 59 fleetside big window that I've had for over ten years, but it's a little rough around the edges after so many miles.
This is to inspire you to not leave it alone like I have........ Sorry for the bad picture of it. I can't get it away from my wife for very long.
Right on, Thanks for the info. I love what those guys in Japan are doing. They get it, in a BIG way. I like how their culture is in doing something. They do it to the best of their abilty or they don't do it at all. There is no have way with them. They are very inspiring to me. By the way I will be at your party on Sunday. It looks like it is going to be a good time.
Being sixteen is cool by itself...........but drive a cool truck is the coolest....enjoy the ride. Big Bad John
