When you get her done take the old lady for a ride. I can imagine she'd be thrilled to connect one more time.

Whatever you do with it, have fun, and post pictures for those of us who don't get to play with cars as much as we used to.

Glad the trip home went well. Looks more like a '27 with that headlight bar. Once you clean off the motor number over the water inlet we can confirn the date. That stub on the left front spindle is for a speedometer drive mount.

Congrats, looks like a solid foundation for a resto, or a rod. I'd rod it, or at the very least I'd update the mechanicals to make it safe to drive in today's traffic. Keep us posted on your adventure!

Do whatever you want with it, what a cherry roadster! Be sure to keep all the original parts though...you never know, perhaps someday you will want to restore it.

    chopt49,
What's the story with that wrench in the last pic? Was it with the car? Part of some accessory tool kit? I'm curious 'cause I picked up, what looks like the same wrench at garage sale last week. It's kinda cool 'cause I also have a T roadster - '27.

evintho, the wrench came with the car and i believe it is the tool used to remove the spark-plugs (some wise HAMBer will correct me if wrong). I actually found a few of these in the car and tool box on the drivers running board. What are your plans for your 27 - is it the one pictured in your sig?

Thanks for the info! Yes, it's the basketcase in my sig. Plans call for an 'in the weeds' stance with a track nose. It'll be powered by a built and turbocharged, EFI supplied 2.3 liter 4-cyl/T5 combo that currently resides in my Mustang. Parts acquired so far include a Model A frame (that I'll probably sell and build my own out of 2x3 rec steel), '38 Ford front suspension, '75 Maverick 8" rear and I just picked up some Jag coilovers and a Suzuki Samauri steering box/column.

Trying to clear all my other projects out of the way right now. The build should start next month.

The Ford wrench in the above photo is a spark plug and wood wheel lug nut wrench, it also fits the head bolts.

  27. Got to love those turbo charged 2.3's. They give a lot of bang for the buck.

  28. Love your plan to do a 40's gow job....
I see it with full fenders and hood, original style headlights with halogen kits[maybe with purple lenses from sun exposure] dropped very low with 16 inch wires, banjo rear hooked to a warmed over 59 AB with a 39 top shifter. And a chopped windshield. I think I'd go with gloss black.
My understanding is Henry ok'd a few colors other than black starting in '26 but I'd have to do it black with black leather in the stock pattern..no white walls!
