People kind of assigned names to my cars for me, like "big blue" for my '67 biscayne or "butternut" for my yellow '67 cutlass. I had a girl I know scold me a little bit for not naming my cars though, so one day I hopped in my laurentian and just before I fired it up the name Lorraine popped into my head so clear that it was like someone spoke it in my ear. So "Lorraine" is the first car I've ever given a real name.

My T bucket I named Teester and my newest is a 52 fleetline project that will be called Flatliner.

I believe that car, truck, vans or what ever that were given name are remembered years later even after they are long gone.I still remember all the local van names from the 70`s.

Cat-Dog, after the cartoon. The painter at my job suggested it because the body is half F1, half Tudor sedan. (half car, half truck). I dunno, I like it.

my wife used to call her the "mistress" because of all the time we spent together.

I pointed out to my wife that she's got a sexier "ass" and a "slimmer waist" than most women born in the same year [ 1970 ]

My '26 T is "Josephine".... as that was the name that I found inscribed on the steering column when the 4 layers of paint were removed.. don't know who put it there or why, but I didn't have the heart to change it.

  24. The guys at work would ask me when my car would be finished? My standard answer was "Two Weeks" even when months turned into years, oh ya it'll be done in "Two Weeks"!

my 28 RPU project is "The Gherkin" I will also have the word "jerk" striped on the drivers door. So I'll be "Jerk" in the "Gherkin".

  26. I was doing the tin work on a friends '74 Nova and it was kind of a beast. As I was working away the name Edna just popped in my head and it wouldn't leave, so I told him and it stuck. Edna we discovered though time was a dirty girl and liked to man handled , all that rubber and playing with her "carburator" was what she asked for! Rob.
