Hot Rods My new ride -- paint it or not

    46 ford. Channelled. 350/350. Camaro clip with narrowed fat man control arms. Should i paint it or not.

    i would pull the motor first and put a ford in it first,then worry about painting it.

    Actually this might not be a bad idea. With a Ford motor the car will be slow enough that people will have time to look it over as you drive by. At that point it would be better to have it looking good with a super paint job. With the Chevy it will be just blur going past so why bother with shiney paint.:eek::cool::D

    I wouldnt it looks pretty Kool the way it is. But if you do I would go black with some simple old skool flames.

    what level of a paint job are you considering? flat black or something that yo can see yourself in? need more info to "vote" on it

    pagan gold shiny, white wheels or chrome reverse and white walls. leave the motor, its a custom not a stock car. slam it, chrome some pieces drive the shit out of it... DONE. next project.

    Step 2: drop in Hemi
    Step 3: paint

    of coarse paint it! (with real paint... gloss)

    Then add some custom hubcaps/wider white wall tires and perhaps find some better plated bumpers or have these plated.

    hahaha sorry farmer those would be my personal steps if i had to do it hahahaha.:D

    wallpaper looks good & you can get the ole lady to help.
     
  25. Naw just drive it all clapped out. maybe if you own it long enough it'll get enough moisture to start rusting away. :rolleyes:

    I think I migh be inclined to drive it awhile and then decide what I wanted to do different with it before I painted it. But if I have a runer its always hard for me to pull it apart and make major changes.
