    Cyclone -

Thanks for the thread. I knew nothing about Bunny until attending an IHRA meet in the early 90's. Her whole deal was very impressive, with a gorgeous, hard-running car. I really hadn't heard anything about her since the '95 wreck and am glad to know she came through it (and apparently, her share of other medical problems).

I had never seen any of her older racers (nor any photos of her in her "prime" - Wow!), and chuckled out loud at the "Cotton Pony" name on the little Mustang. They don't seem to be making ladies with that sense of humor any more.

She's obviously the real thing, and with genuine humility too. All in all, a winner by any standard.

Talked to her at the Henderson, NC show a couple weeks ago where she was one of this year's honorees. Great ambassador for hot rodding and a great lady.

  11. Just re-read an article about her a couple nights ago. The early days stories are great. Her kids playpen was sat between the ramps on the tow truck!

If you ask most people about a female driver all you'll get is Ashley Force and maybe Shirley Muldowney. She has had a very interesting career and it's a story more people should know.

I found this pic in another thread here....probably one of the best.

I met her & "the boys" at a World of Wheels show we were in years ago. She's a class act. Got a rod from one of her motors hanging in the garage.

Bunny is a class act. She was at Old Dominion Speedway's nostalgia drags yesterday, but I didn't get a chance to talk to her much.
