There is definitely a diversity of opinions on this site. I love it.

I looked back for the name of the overdrive unit mentioned. That would make this much more drivable.

    Got links?

Beautiful truck - but it didn't come stock with dual exhaust. See - now you are free to change whatever you want...

For those that identified this truck as a '41, you are correct. The broker had bad info.

It's about 4 hours away, on its way out of Chicago. My friend Shawn has it on my open trailer. It won't fit inside my fancy one. I'm hoping it's the last time it's ever on a trailer, short of shipping it to distant shows.

no hate from this quarter; that's a sweet truck. just like they say we can't save them all; sometimes it's wrong to rod a vehicle, too.

damn, that does look good, really good actually. That's what I would be doing. Excellent photochopping on that. If only it was that easy in reality. I'd chrome the rest of the grill too.

i dunno; after the 'shop, it looks like a Hudson pickup. it's too purty to hack on as is. give it twenty-thirty more years, and maybe it'll get some "patina" !

(funny thing; after that much time, i don't envision there being many CURRENT cars still around to compare it to!)

So sexy! That "lipstick red" is killer. Is that an OEM 1940 Ford color?

    The truck is a '41, I found out, and it's a '41 color.
