Dick, the car looks great. When I think about packaging all the stuff inside the body my head starts to hurt. It will blow some minds on the street for sure. Awesome job. Like my dad used to say "I wish that was mine and you had a nicer one". Gary

Two tone is the way to go, but try Silver on top with a Red bottom. Maybe separated with a silver pinstripe in the red. Or what you have with a silver separation stripe.

  3. What about this? Sort of inspired by older Indy cars. You planning on race numbers?

I worked on the grill surround and opened up some more air flow on the chin.

I seen Grits where's the project build threads. It got me to thinking how boring a build it can get thru the build process. I've been working on the grill surrounds and the 2 pieces seem like they have taken forever. I went back and looked. I started making them on May 22nd. That's almost three weeks working on two parts. They should be finished tomorrow.:) Watching a real time build is slow.Anyway here are the two surrounds after 3 weeks.

yeah james d. does rule at photoshop.

here's a minor modification. I think it needs some sort of covers over the front hairpins too..

I also wanted to see it white on red. I thought it would look real old timey.

This car is amazing. I have been following it the whole time. You are getting really close!

Be careful on the grill. its starting to look a little cluttered. maybe once its in primer no?

The belly pan does cover the front suspension. It wasn't on the car when the photo was used in photoshop.I think the whole thing looks alot different on the car and looking down on it.Looking the front straight in the eye is a different view.Yes it is getting close to running.:)I like that red and white a lot. Thanks

A JamesD variation of paint is a must... it completely accentuates the lines on the car.
