yup dans rite randy had that car since high school he chopped it ,,i think 6 windsheilds at 300 each and he had the rear glass made 2k dollars,, thinks he can find the guy with the buck that made that rear glass............he did fry the back a little but not too bad, a tail light and some other small stuff.. had some wicked flame throwers on it....any ways he took it way apart to paint and redo lost interest and traded jim for his dalia 2

  3. Looks to flat with the body lines.. Different but not "right" in my eyes.. Good luck tho.

speedadict I actually think the orange 4dr may be kinda mild in a way if it was parked next to a 2dr hardtop but I'm not completely sure. A mild chop for a hardtop car is usually around 1.5"-2" but the roof on a 4dr sedan is about 2" taller than a hardtop and its shaped different also. So if the roof was chopped 4" it would sound radical and to much but it actually isn't. It would just be the same height as a mildly chopped hardtop car.

The back glass is kinda ugly in that car but in a strange way I like it and think it suits that car. I'm glad this post is starting to get some feed back besides just negative.

Lucky 7's in Antioch put a 2 inch chop on Richard Zocchi's 60 Olds. The back glass is from a 1974 Mercury Capri.

That 60 is radical do you have anymore pics of it? It looks like it has a 4dr sedan back glass in it even tho its a 2dr hard top. Do you have any info on that car?

That purple ´60 is a former 4dr post sedan that was chopped, sectioned and 2dr HT´d in Finland about 20 yrs ago. So Yes, it is a 4dr back glass. And a 4dr roof as well.

What a god damn waste. They all look terrible. These cars do not suit chopping.

mrjynx I think Your wrong but to each His own pal, that's what makes the world go round.
Koolkemp and Superfleye, I will have to ask Gene about the car again, because it was about 10 years ago or so that He told Me about it and I don't recall, just know I've always liked it. Mungle, got anymore pix of Your Elky? looks like an old 60's showrod, are You putting it back together? Von Doc

I know this 60 isn't a Chevy, Buick, Olds or Pontiac, and it also isn't a HAMB friendly car, but it had a really nice chopped top .....

    Doc,

Any chance you could post some update photos of the El Camino? When I saw it in Winfield's "field" behind his shop, I could see that a lot of work had been done on it, but I'm not sure by whom. Do you have any history on it?
