Very much like the idea of (the right) silver paint. I have thought about it for my coupe.

That's what I always had in mind, silver paint that looks like bare metal.
Although I have to admit it has been the only car I've cleaned with Scotch Brite pads.

I put cone baffles in the headers but it didn't really tame it that much.

I am pretty sure they were in it when I sold it. I can't remember taking them out.

My tinnitus sounds like a jet idling on the tarmac across the airport...all the time. Luckily I'm able not to dwell on it, but I owe it all to drags back in the day, and a healthy dose of rock concerts in the 60's & 70's. Oh... and a little bit of Flathead, Oldsmobile and VW dunebuggies at Pismo. I still feel like a Dork wearing the shop dayglo orange foam and blue plastic connecter hearing protection to Famoso but I gotta try and preserve what's left. :)#

I rode I the grenade on many occasions (Even all the way to Bakersfield) and I never thought it was that loud. Hell, my Blown Camaro with mufflers is waay louder.

Love that pic of the Grenade with Muffin's "Original" F-Bomb.

Me too. An un-baffled car is just too loud, annoys the hell out of me driving, pisses off most everybody you pass, pisses off the neighbours, and the cops.

Next the the Chrisman Coupe the Green Grenade is my favorite. I really like the bare bones look of it. All buisness.
It looks as though its gone through a number of changes. Are there any photos from the build Kris?

Obviously, this car was a huge influence on me, and will always have a special place in my heart. When Steve had it, he let me drive it once....changed everything! I am glad it seems to be in the right hands....it looks like it needs a date with some scotch brite soon! Don't paint it. I feel like it needs to stay what it is, but thats just my 2 cents....

Beautiful coupè! I wouldnt paint it, its iconic the way it is, it would be just another nice coupè w/ paint.
    I have a question:
Why are both bottom sides of the cowl ripped off just above the lake pipe?
    The hell happened?

The entire body was anti-sectioned to match the grill shell instead of the usual grill shell chop. To me, this is a big part of the car's sinister look. I couldn't find the thread where loudpedal explained it but it's out there somewhere with pictures to illustrate. I've got a model A coupe that's in the process of receiving a similar treatment. I'll be sure to get a build thread started when I get it down to my new shop and start working on it again.

I'd love to see more interior shots of the car- how the gas tank is laid out, anything done to help stiffen up the body, etc. Seeing some more shots illustrating the hidden water pump and how it's plumbed would also be cool.

My vote is for silver if it does get painted. The car is a modern icon as is but I'd love to see what it would look like fully finished.

Very true, in addition to the anti-section, I believe it has the longer sedan doors? Sinister is an understatement!

I'll have to find the pics I took of it from the 2nd Hotrodarama, when Kris and a few other Utah boys drove up.
The Green Grenade had a SBC and a full hood before the Hemi....

    Not silver, go with pewter.

  27. Some of my detail shots from 2005. Pretty "ballzy" to "unsection" a car, but it works! And where's the alternator? I dig it.....
