Ditto the portawalls. I bought a set to use temporarily - that was 5 years ago, still look good. Very traditional, I had a set on my Fleetline back in the 50's.
do a search here-this subject covered very well-I just sold 4 very nice 15" WWW mounted on nice steel rims for $550
I ordered a set of Silvertown bias plies from Coker and saved about $65. Covered shipping. I figure I supported the HAMB and saved some money. It's a win - win.
I was told to go to a good guys show and there would be vendors there with tires. I scored 3 700 16 new silver towns for 300 at the Springfield swap meet. 4 Goodyear super cushion de luxe 6.70 15 for 300 brand new from a guy locally and then got the same tire in wrapping but old for 20 bucks at the local car club swap meet. Ask around locally and you might be surprised.
bias ply: lucas automotive http://www.lucasclassictires.com/ radials: http://www.whitewallcandystore.com/ local is cheaper because of shipping, or the classifieds here. like said you could get a membership and buy from coker.
