Did a search, but not much luck - I'm looking for ideas on rollers tires on project cars - mine are used, old junk tires, and most lose air.....so, any ideas (especially non-road-worthy ideas) for slowing the air leaks?

As long as it's a slow leak, that flat fix stuff in a can seems to work for quite some time.

I'd go down to a local car dealer or anywhere else that sells tires and ask if they have any old tires to give away. I have run my vehicles on freebie throw away tires for years. I wouldn't even bother with slime or buying tubes. If you have the rims off the car a simple tire mounting doesn't cost that much. If your a real cheap skate you can do it yourself with a crowbar and a bumper jack.

i know what ya mean . Used 14 " & 15 " tires are hard to come by . Hell , everything are 16 " or bigger now adays.
i keep mine evrytime something sells.
    good luck .
the fix a flat might work for awhile but ruins the tire , can't be patched. Tubes = $ $ $

If they're already junk tires just used for rollers, that doesn't matter very much. I've used the stuff with success.

seen a couple folks cut out wooden wheels out of plywood to roll frames and partially built vehicles. If its a heavy couple pieces or half inch glued screwed together.

    Not sexy but certainly functual.

how about just those tire casters? pretty cheap and that way you can move it in any direction-spin it around 360 if you want.

Find a Wal-Mart that sells tires. They'll mount any tire for $5 (even in expensive California!)

Used temp spares as mentioned above. Even if they are 16" or 17", the tires are usually smaller than a normal 15".
