    In photo #7288 Michigan State Police officer. What exactly is the officer doing? The 55 DeSoto had the gas filler on tthe right side of the car. That is not the way to defrost a car

    This is my favorite old photo of all time. I found it in a newspaper article about Daytona Beach racing years ago and have searched for the original but never found out any more about. This is sort of the equivalent of taking a Lamborghini down to the local quartermile oval. No wonder these cars are so rare nowadays.

    #6995 pg 350 - This shot was taken at Thompson Speedway in 1959 - at that time it was owned / driven by Thompson's owner George Weaver - he had bought this car from Roy Blomfield & John James.

    Good point about posting thread info when referring to something earlier. This thread is so large, you could never find it. Just post the thread count number that's in the upper right. This one is #7338.
