Instead of lace, here's what I did

I took all the advice and opinions, threw them in a blender and out came something I can live with. I put some Cobalt Metallic on top of the lace on the roof and outlined it in harbor blue, big, dark blue scallops on the hood and three down each side. This was after I smoothed the hood, cleaned up the wheels with a metallic silver and frosted blue centers with chrome lugs and painted hubs.

I need to do some detail work and get it cleaned up.

I threw in a before and after picture.

Looks great, set it on the ground now and stripe the scallops in green or orange to set them off.

I am not a big fan of scallops but this looks great, did you pick the patterns? It brings out the rear wheel well chrome trim and follows that pattern. Nice work!!

Here's an updated set of photos. I will be wet sanding and polishing her tonight.

Painted the roof with a metallic cobalt as well as the dash and steering wheel. Tomorrow I will be pulling the reveal molding and painting it white along with the steering wheel center and bottom of the dash.

I need to pull the rotten headliner out so I can start to put in a Angel Hair headliner. Still not lowered. Damn I'm ready for that.

The blue top made it. Looks a lot better since you went with the dark blue.

would look really cool if you scalloped the rear deck lid behind the window as well.

It would look better. I will get on that.

I don't have the angel hair yet but I doubt it will be long knap Angel Hair.
