Finally got the 57 home. Now where do I start. The previous owner claims the 292 Y-Block has been rebuilt but has never had oil or been started in 2 years. The truck still has a black California license plate with tags from 1987. It is a big back window truck and a custom cab. I think I did pretty good onlt paying $300 for it. It has a little passenger side floor board rust but that appears to be it. The rest of the body is pretty straight.

Got one 4 years ago, original 272/3 onthetree. Runs good, needs some minor work and paint. $300 is killer deal, but it looks like alot of work to be done, otherwise you did good. These 57's are getting to be a fun resto or custom.

  11. Damn it! Congrats man, great deal! I have been looking for one for a while now. Most of the ones near me, people think the damn things are minted from pure gold!

DAMN! Good score man! Here are some pics of mine the day I brought it home from the junk yard with no engine or trans and a lean sale title! I paid $500.00!
