I found $30K (thirty thousand ) in cash in the the passanger door of my ford yesterday while i was trying to fix the window. Oh wait! I was dreaming... it was just sand.

I did find a 1962 penny under the backseat of my 61 Chevy. I suspect it'd been there ever since 62 so I put the penny back.

Ok guys here is another pic of Davey Jones. Uh , I mean my dead trunk monkey. I bought this new 55 Caddy to either use for parts on my old 55 Cad or build this one and when I got it to my buds place and jimmy'ed the trunk open I got a huge suprise when I spotted this monkey. Thank goodness it doesn't smell. I plan on leaving it where it is for the duration of my rebuild. My friends have already nominated my to be the president of the dead trunk monkey society.

  12. This is probably the coolest and most unusual thing any of us will ever find in a used car... but it's creepy as all hell!

I bought a 53 Dodge D49 parts car the other day. Found a few interesting bits in there. The most unusual were an Atomister and a copper thing with rods. Any ideas on the copper gizmo? Haven't taken the seats out yet so there might be other stuff in there. Under the front seat, neatly folded up and in a plastic bag, was a 1991 full page newspaper ad for a grocery store. Preserved beautifully. WTF was with that!

Red...in one pic there is a vent window deflector (not sure what it would be called), but my Dad had thoses on a 59 Ford. I would love to find a set for my old truck. Do you or anyone know where I might be able to find them:confused: Thanx for any info.

Yeah, sure...blame it on poor old Grandpa. LOL.

The monkey has to be the "dangest" thing found yet. (Poor thing.)

  21. "Honey, have you seen the monkey?"
"Nah, I'll look for him after I take this old Cadillac to the junk yard."

Gotta love those Olds fiesta hubcaps---they were the "rage" when i was in HS. great score!

  23. A fiend of mine is into old VWs. Seems like every other one he drags home has a roach in the ashtray. Not the insect kind.

  24. In 67 I bought a 55 Chev BelAir Hardtop Coupe for $35.00 (from a car lot even) It had a tube of Blue Ointment, a couple of dead mice and some chicken bones under the back seat. I read on the Blue Ointment what it was for, It was to get rid of crabs. Not the kind in the ocean either.. I swapped ALL the interior out of that car.

hoboy56, i think you should have that monkey's skull cleaned and bleached and have it encased in a clear resin ball to make a shifter knob out of, or something. its to crazy a story to not do something with it lol
