I've been a reader of this board for a while now, and a last I have something to give back. Attached are some pictures of a 48 Fiat wagon from todays show.
Look at the photos closely to see how he seems to incorporate all manner of parts, to make a complete vehicle. The car is powered by (I think) a twin turboed Lexus motor.

Greasefest (check out Greasefest website for more info) is a show where all styles are catered for, but the main theme is 50's 60's, the way things where. It has a great vibe, and great cars.

yeh, Souths leagues ground had a more "intimate" (if thats the term) feeling, sometimes bigger venues give the idea of more commercialism.

  5. The old, old venue up at Redlands bay was the last good greasefest

Why are you giving back that?????
Everybody at the Kustom Nats this year couldnt keep a straight face around that thing.Sorry-but it is just some sort of bad joke, did the guy lose a bet??Just because it "incorporates all manner of parts" doesnt mean you have to punish our retinas with its "face only a blind mother could love" looks!!
    There-I said it.

  13. Seriously.... if you had been a "reader of this board for a while now" you would have identified that wasnt really a HAMB friendly vehicle. You might be reading but you dont appear to be "absorbing".....

I originally saved that Fiat body from a farm . It was sitting on a suzuki 4wd chassis being thrashed around the farm . I built a chassis for it , suicide front end , 4 bar front and rear , 9 inch etc . It is an all steel body , and quite rare . I sold the car and it went through a couple of sets of hands before this jerk bought it and f#@ked it ! Here it is when I had it . Its unfinished but you get the idea .

I didn't mind the new venue - they turned good cars away last year because it was too small. Dunno can't please everyone??? Its all what you make it i suppose.

No probs elricho the build quality of the 32' was of a really high standard. Maybe the best rod there. I don't think he painted it because he sells the Brookville bodies. Like a rolling bussiness card i suppose.
Greazefest is still probably one of the best car shows getting around, and the car quality gets better every year. Yeah theres still some shit out there, but all in all todays showing was pretty good when you compare past years.

Hey roarz thanks for posting the pics. At least you posted something positive unlike some guys here with a 1000+ posts. Do I like that car, no but you tried to bring something to the forum so good for you. I see plenty of 50s and 60s styled cars too.

Im intrigued though are you Qld guys really getting some of those cars on the road like that blown flat black pick up? Did the guy understands scrub lines etc. If so I love the WA rules that little bit more every day.
