It's finally out ..BRUCE LARSON ..."Mr.Clean" Chevy Coupe. The recreation of Bruce's first race car made it debut and a pass last wknd at the FCR. Nice job by Bruce & Stanley on the total project !!!
Man, that's nice! What kinda times did that original turn back in the day? Any history would be relished!!!!!!
The car actually made its debut and first trip down the dragstrip at Beaver Springs on 7/11 as part of the Nostalgia Nats. That being said the car is very nice and appears to run very well.
Very nice car. Nice to see an old Chevy rvived. looks like its going a 100mph just sitting there. With the reflection coming off that trailer.
Remember talking to Bruce at last years ETOWN nostalgia deal about this.... i dug up some pictures of it running with my grandpas chevy coupe with an olds...KILLER... TH
I love it! Nice to see a Chevy with the leaf springs left up front! Did you get any pictures of suspension?
Like I said in a previous post, Bruce Larson's "Mr. Clean" was his first car that was actually specifically built/modified for "drag strip use only"... Bruce would use a simple tow-bar to haul the car to the track... And I love the "Mr. Clean" moniker because one of the things I respect the most about Bruce Larson is his "Mr. Clean" approach to living life-- Not to get preachy here, but you do get so tired of all the illicit drug runners and "low life" stories often associated with the drag racers of years gone bye-- It's refreshing (at least to me) that a guy like Bruce can live his life on the straight and narrow, and be more of a positive role model for the sport... Bruce Larson was at Saturday night's "Meet 'N' Greet" dinner for the E'Town Nostalgia Summernationals, it was really good to see Bruce in such good spirits-- He's one of my top drag racing heroes... "The Doc" (Celebrity Drag Racing Authority & Visionary)...
I'll call Bruce and see if he can bring Mr. Clean to the Pocono Drag Lodge reunion!!! August 14, at the track, Meadow Run Road, Bear Creek, PA....8 miles from I-81, 4 miles from the Penna turnpike!! get there early!! Charlie Hulsizer 845-635-3662 evenings [email protected]
