I am going to keep the stock (gasp!) taillights on my '62 Merc wagon project. But I thought that they were different enough for this thread. I think they could look really good if used correctly on a custom.

    The Merc turned out OK.

Generic trailer lights with '61 Impala lens. I cut the center out of the lens and epoxied the Impala lens on.

  12. 61 Olds in a 52 Ford... Go ahead and do this if you like the look... The car was never finished, and is now part of a 2 year old Kia by now.

I did a tech post on it years ago...

These are the tailights on my 52 Chevy. I think I used a pontiac bumper but used the stock 52 guards. Made my own lenses.

  17. I was told that These taillights were from an "Edsel" and were on this truck since 1966... I thought they looked cool so I kept them...

I've been looking for a set of these for some time now. I did recently post a request in the "wanted" section. I just thought I'd show the things since I actually have some pictures of them now. Apparently they're called "Pioneer 450" & I found that J.C. Whitney sold them in the late 50's, early 60's. I think they're really cool & I've never seen a set on a car. Obviously, if anyone has a set for sale or a lead, please let me know.

These things are simply nuts...sort of like a jumbo version of the '59 Cad lens, these are about 5" diameter where they attach to the car!

AFAIK, they were made either by or for Superior coachworks.

I am retaining them in the redo of my Ambo...and I have no spares available, sorry.
