I have these rims i found and were wondering if they were anything special... there are no markings on them besides the size...14x6...thanks guys
14" wheels are getting hard to find. And if they are chrome, they could be replated to look as good as new. It would help if you knew the bolt pattern and the offset.
chrome slots are cool, but hard to find in good condition. not really worth re-chroming, unless you really love 'em. what bolt pattern are they? if you want to run 'em as-is, i can hook you up with a set of n.o.s. goodyear narrow whites that would look great...
I was just digging around and found these in a n old pile of stuff i had and couldnt remember where they came from..Both sets have an offset of 3 3/4 inches. On set has a bolt pattern of 4 1/4 inches and the other is 4 1/2 inches. like in the picture they do have some rust on them just eager to hear what you guys had to say about them i appreciate the responses
I think they came factory on some 70's dodges and plymouths. Uncle had a van that came with them. Chrome peeled off in sheets.
Here's my idea: Peel or blast the chrome off. Scour Craigslist for a free electric oven. Get the Harbor Freight $19 powder coat kit on a 20% off coupon, and get some good powdercoat powder (not HF). Powdercoat them in your garage then sell them to the Dodge/Plymouth guys, since that bolt pattern can be a little hard to find. You'll have a powdercoating setup all paid for and some practice doing it too.
Hose reels....or I was thinking about making a mailbox stand out of some. 14" wheels aren't hard to find, but 14" tires are getting hard to find.
