Tomorrow July 21, Larry would have been 72 yrs old. I've been a fan of Larrys since high school. His illness first came to our attention about April 24. As he went to the doctors and took several tests, he found out he had cancer that had spread throughout his body. To my knowledge he never had pain, but was extremely weak from siezures, then radation. When will they find a cure for cancer. Roger

R.I.P Larry Watson ... such an inspiration and a cool dude, you will be missed.

I sure hope there are Kustoms lined up for Blocks at his funeral, he deserves one Hell of a Kustom show.

  10. Unfortunately we can't choose how we die, but we can choose how we live.
The sign on his old shop says it all, '' House of style''.
The man knew how to live.
    RIP Larry Watson

Sad news indeed. I regard Larry Watson, his boss paintjobs and all the the stories and myths around him as thee ultimate coolness. He certainly left an inpact very few can match in the kustom world. I bet Big Daddy has a messy buch of wild, but unpainted creations for him to add color to up there. RIP forever.

Sorry to hear this, I knew him through the old magazines. He always seemed like a happy good guy that loved what he was doing with cars. Prayers are sent to his Family and friends.

Condolences to Larry's family. I hope it was truly as pain free as stated earlier.

He did it his way and was very much recognized for his art during his lifetime.

    Truly sad news.

Larry was a major influence to just about any
custom guy who grew up in the 60s.

My sympathies to his friends and family.
