Wow, Paul... I'm not sure I'd want to get rid of it either. I like it at that height, too.

Here's one of my three projects... '33 Ford 5 window chopped and channeled. I sure wish I was rich so I could finish one of these! :)

We have recently acquired a 1965 Mercury Comet Caliente Convertible. This will be my daughter&#8217;s first car and it was her choice. I asked her many times if she was sure this is what she wanted since it is at least a two year project to get it on the road but this is it. At some point in the recent past someone tried to stuff a big block in it but it doesn&#8217;t&#8217; look like they ever succeeded except to cut the crap out of the car. That along with some floor pan rust I think I am going to invest in a welding supply company. Really the car is in good shape compared to all the other ones we looked at and could afford. The plan is for the car to be a daily driver so no perfection here just strong and safe. The car came without an engine and transmission so we will add <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Granada</st1:place></st1:City> front disks and 2000 Explorer 5.0 engine and automatic transmission along with anything else we can use from the wrecked Explorer. Below are a few pictures. The last picture is how it looks today and I have entitle the picture Sometimes you have to go backwards to go forward. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>

  11. I like it! Corvair wagons are fairly rare, so a sedan delivery must be just about unheard of :D

  19. here is mine, '49 shoebox. I have had it for 3 months or so. I am getting it striped tomorrow and the black wheels are temp. because I cant make up my mind on color!

beginning: $2900, beat, little rusty, no brakes to speak of, bad tires, runs rough!

middle: $3900, new tires, new brakes, lowered front/rear, still rusty, runs a little better
    [IMG]

nearing the end?? $5125, not rusty anymore, semi gloss paint, all trim back on, new elect. fuel pump, running fairly smooth!

  22. You nailed the proportions perfectly. I like the big and little tires too. Can't wait to see the final product.
