Just found out from one of Larry Watsons childhood friends that the service is scheduled for July 31st at Westminster Memorial Park - Westminster California - on Beach Blvd. Technically , its Midway City. Info right now is minimal but my gut feeling is that this will be open to the public so we need to send off one of our hero's in a big way. I think it would be fitting to bring out as many finished painted customs as possible. Metalflake & Candy has got to be in the air !

Well, if heaven didn't have hot rods and customs, it sure will now. All the legends are being reunited. Kinda makes me excited to get up there! (if I'm allowed in...)

    RIP

A few months ago I was over at Larry's and I forgot a magzine that I had done , it had a page with the Road Agent and I was gonna have Larry sign it, He said "don't worry Mike You can come over anytime, We've got lots of time". I guess I took it for granted that We did. Good bye My freind

The saddest news of the year. My heartfelt thoughts & prayers to Larry's family and friends. I was hoping to get out there to record Larry's History for the HOF Legends Series...I'm truly devasted.

He will be missed and he was a really big influence on how my car looks. When I found this spot in one of the seedier sections of town I had to take pics there just because the name on the building.... Now it's gone too...

ah thats so sad. imo one of the more ground breaking guys to ever lay paint on a car. sure there were scallops before larry watson, but no one laid down scallops like larry. he took that shit to a whole nother level.

  29. There's one reason why you would copy someones paintjobs.........Cause they're THAT GOOD!!!!!!
He sure set the trends....RIP Spraymaster!!!!

<Met him as a kid,but didn't know who he was til I got a little older. He painted my older brother's '58 Impala. Met him again while he and Roger O'dell were talking at Mastersons "Barris Fire" get together. Seemed like a real nice guy. His only words he ever said to me was " Get that interior done son!". Wish I could have known him better...
