Oh... damn. What a loss to the world. I didn't know he was ill (didn't see the news) but had been thinking of him a lot for the past couple days for some reason.

R.I.P. Larry. Your influence was felt by many.

  5. I just heard from David Anthony Garcia that Larry had passed away. He was such a great guy to be around. So sad! :(

  6. Dammit. After the previous post from Ryan regarding his health I was hoping this one wouldn't be the follow up. Talent that will live on forever, and a legacy that will do the same.

Just got the news myself, was going to start a new thread but found this one.
Larry had been fighting brain cancer for awhile and was receiving cemo, it seemed that he was doing well until last night.

I'm sure that Tranny John will be on at some time and can fill everyone in.
Larry had always been such a great supporter for folks like us.

    I'm lost for words...

God Bless You Larry, you will always be in our hearts, say hi to Ed and the rest of the gang for us.

Had a call a couple hours ago as well, also just waiting for the news to pop up here.
What can I add ? Just "Adios Larry..."

One of the true pioneers of kustom paint... really sad news. He and I share the same last name- I was always kind of proud of that given his huge contributions to all that we love. His shoes will never be filled. RIP Larry.

You did some great things while you were here, Mr. Watson. Thanks for that. I really get that it's important to do what you're passionate about. Life is short.

    Rest in peace.

Will always cherish hanging out at his old Norco shop every day in the summer of 92. The stories he told were priceless ! Without a doubt, he had/has the most amazing collection of archival kustom car photo's on the planet and i hope now someone will make a few books on his life as a inventor, painter, actor ! R.I.P Larry Watson.

  28. My heart goes out to his family and friends, he's inspired countless dozens of artists, builders painters and gear heads. The passing of a great artist. His body of work speaks volumes.
God bless his soul, may he rest in peace.
