Hey Kids. This is what the American Dream looked like

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by GreenMonster48, Jul 16, 2010.

  1. My good buddy just became the steward of this car. It's his uncle's and we're tasked with getting it running and driving after a 20 some-odd year slumber. The uncle bought it some time around 62-63. Original paint. Enjoy.

Bet that thing rides like a cadillac!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She's a beaut

  4. The pictures do it absolutely no justice either. It's straighter than a grizzly's dick.

Thankfully, I've never laid eyes on a grizzly's dick, so can't compare. But that does look like a really straight car. When's the customizing going to start?

  11. Thats one of the few cars that need nothing but a nice paint job and clean interior to be cool.

Great looking ride ! A personal "barn find" for your buddie. AND,I noticed that the cool thing is they already installed some of those '59 Caddy taillights...so you're way ahead of the game !!

Ride on, stay safe. Wonderful, comfortable, long-distance Cruiser...just the car for a Route 66/Lincoln Highway trip.

    WOW!!!!

BTW, I don't think a grizzly dick is all that straight....then again, I was running pretty fast. At least faster than the other guy.

Years ago, my Buddy Ben's Dad gave him their old Cad just newer than this one that didn't have the big fins. A white w/ light blue interior 4-Dr H/T model........

Sucker was unbelievable the way Ben loaded it up with his Band instruments and cases of beer and wine.

It was amazing just how it cornered FLAT and still road like a "CAD"!!!

There's a lot of nice cars still showing up. I could be wrong but I think when the Boomers start passing on a lot of cars are going to start showing up. I know one guy who's 10 car collection has not seen the light of day in a long time. He does not "advertise" that he has them, because he's scared of theft.

  23. I think the only one living that would know that would be Mrs Grizzly.:D

Oh yeah, Great looking car. Long and low!

  29. Lets see some more pictures of that interior when you get it cleaned up!

  30. One or both of my testicles would explode if that CONVERTIBLE 59 dropped in my lap.
    Seriously.

hope this guy realizes what he's got now.
