Nothing that fancy, but always thought it was cool the way the steering wheel does a reverse reflection on itself in the chrome bullet horn button.

The In-progress shot shows it overall. and the second shot shows the stereo enclosure and the speaker box below it.

The center console box hides a modern stereo and is made from the ends of a second '51 Ford dash.

The mesh is SS of same hole pattern as the original dash. ... and lights for turn signals, high beam and idiot light are behind the mesh that is surrounding the speedometer.

Here's another olds. This one a 56 cluster in a dash that is under construction for my other truck. I guess I have a thing for olds. I saw this instrument cluster and had to wrap a dash around it. Dash is still rough. I have to stare at it for a couple more days to plan next move.

Olds really made a few really nice speedometers in the fiftys. With the multi level design and they really look sharp at night. Maybe it's because my Dad was an Oldsmobile Guy. :D

  14. I bought this from Gene Winfield a number of year ago, and plan to use it in my Model A cabriolet fitted to a Deuce dash after I get new gauges fitted for it.

I think it is a sort of variant of an engine turning job, going non-stop left to right, then drop down and go right to left nonstop, and continue the pattern for the entire piece. It looks cool, anyway. Photos do not do it justice.

  15. I think this is a '49 Caddy...

My '56. Picked it up at a swap meef several years ago for 5 bucks. Cleaned it up and refinished the wood. It'll eventually be replaced with the metal flake wheel.
