Event Coverage PHOTOS: Goodguys CRUISE TO COLUMBUS!! On the Road and CHECKING OUT SHOPS!!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by KIRK!, Jul 14, 2010.

  1. Agreed! ... and folks wondered why KIRK! stopped posting event pictures here on the HAMB ... it's obviously because of all the jerks that post pics of O/T stuff in his threads! :D

    ... and speaking of O/T:

    * Payne - thanks for splainin' about DONKs, BOXes, & BUBBLEs ... I learn sumpin' new everyday!

    *
LeClaire, Iowa ... home of "Antique Archaeology" ... and the (HAMB's most hated) History Channel television program:

Kirk, Nice talking to you and Hemi for a minute on Friday at Columbus. The flathead hasn't failed since I dried out the cap. Who woulda thought 3 hours of rain would be a bad on a distributor. :D

    Later,Bill

I thot it was "Overhaulin'", you know, building one complete car in a week, including teardown...just shows to go ya what I don't know (and I never watch either). I have better things to do then sit my ass in front of a TV.

the "fat butterfly" is a Luna Moth, and they only live a few days, rare to see them.

there is always something to learn in all generas of car building, even if it is hard to understand why someone would build a car like that......

Mayfly. That only happen once per year and then they only live between a few hours and a day. Makes a mess but it's a part of the food chain and the fish love'en.

They were everywhere! When I got up close to take the first pic I got covered. They don't make a sound when they fly. They are creepier in person - almost prehistoric.

Yep, mayfly (i'm a big fly fishing nerd:rolleyes:). Looks like a hexagenia of some type, probably Hexagenia limbata. They are the biggest of all mayflies.

Anyhow, about the cars- Great shots, looks like a good time. Your sense of humor cracks me up- tasteful and understated, i guess "classy" is the word i'm looking for- was great.
