Went over yesterday to see what Jason was doing...brought the camera...glad I did.

He had Steve's 3w body off the frame and the motor/tranny out...getting ready for paint.

It'll be Root Beer brown with orange highlights ala Doyle's 3w.

motor is an all aluminum 409/6-speed

Our own Jeem collaborated with Jason on alot of the design elements.

    Check out Jeems' artist conception...damn

Great work! Looking forward to seeing more. I didn't know Chevy even made aluminum 409s. How cool! Please keep this thread going!

Beautiful work. If I had that guy's money, I'd throw all mine away. I bet that 409 cost enough dough to finish my entire Econoline. Wow! That's gonna be a stunner!!!

  20. i was down there last fall and saw this car..in it's early stages...and everything else that was in progress at the time...you're right...this puppy falls a bit from the Hamb hardcore specs...but if ya ever get down there and check Jason and the old man, well you'ld be very very hard pressed to call these guys anything other then hard core traditional roders....the Tulsa Timing Association reunion/get together was an event that can stand next to damn near any "traditional" happening..everyone was blown away by the turn out..i stopped counting at 203 cars...and stuff was rolling in for several hours after that still....a few pics from the TTA meet
..........damn throw away camera or else i'ld have some shots of the area showing tons of the rods there...

definitely another pin in my tour map;)
oh yeah, and the edsel/ranchero looked like a factory built car...i made an ass of myself and said "wow i didn't know they made those back then"
