Projects 1936 ford pickup build thread

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Captain Zoom, Mar 17, 2010.

  1. I really like this truck. Awesome details that I really like. Will we see it at Bonneville this year since your so close?

  2. Fantastic job!!!! What a great experience bonding with all the men in the family!!!!

    On a different note-
Opinions are like assholes, ............. well you know the rest of that saying! Hot-rodding is all about expressing yourself and creating something YOU love. Why others have to shit on people with their stupid opinions is beyond me. Hell YES I'm jealous that I'm not yet capable of this level of fabrication but I should never rain on your parade because of it!

Keep up the great work, I look forward to your future projects!

  3. That thing is freaking awesome!
I guess it's time for me to sell my pile of junk now...
There is now way I can keep up with you guys!

    Keep up the good work!

Its not that "all post 35 fenderless pick~up's" are wrong. I think its about proportion, overall stance, style, and having the right ingredients ! Its real easy to remove fenders from any Pick~up, throw on a set of over wide radials on the rear, a SBC with gold anodized Moroso valve covers , a 70's/80's Velocity stack , then call it the day. The builder of this, however , took his time, and built a well executed Hot Rod. Thats my 2 cents.

  19. Is that a '36 frame, and did you reshape the rear, or fab new rails? I love all the details, like the spare tire, tank, and battery box, and still some room for hauling beer and an overnight bag. I'd like to see finished pics inside the bed.

  27. Had this one bookmarked but never posted. Did you post that Maroon paint color? If so I missed it.

  28. Very nicely done. Excellent craftsmanship, attention to detail. And the memories made with the family and friends are the best part of the whole deal, than can never be sold, traded, or outdated. Congratulations. I am more jealous of the time spent working on it with the fam than anything else.

Hows the leg room? Looks killer! I built one of these a while ago and with the swoopy lines of the bottom of the cab, it was a lot harder than you made it look to make everything line up, great job.
