My neighbors are going to get pissed. I just brought home a 1941 buick. What was I thinking? But you got to love the lines of a 41 coupe. The car is about 99% complete and 100% running. I drove her home 50 miles and has no issues (yet). Original drivetrain. I'm going to keep her that way. Just a smooth chop and on the floor. I will keep you posted.

Nice. I've always had a soft spot for early 40's buicks.

The '41 is one of my bucket list cars.

I wish I had more money in the bucket and room in my shop.

From where I'm sitting that car doesn't need anything...it just looks like an old cruiser. I wouldn't even wash it if it were mine. Johnny

Great looking car- aside from those little headlight shades I think the car looks perfect- other than a little cleaning I wouldn't change a thing. The stance is great, and that body has great proportions without being chopped. That's one I'd hate to see get cut up. Just my 2 cents.

Get rid of that beamer in the background and those pics could've been taken 55+ years ago. That car is just timeless.

  14. One of my most favorite grills. I wish the grill on my 41 Cad looked like that. I would have been more excited about it.

'41 Buicks look great chopped. However I don't think I could bring myself to do it to this one. It looks so great as it sits.

If anything, all that car needs is some skirts, a visor, and a spotlight or two.

I don't think I'd chop it. But if I did, it would be a Barris/Matranga style hardtop. The squared roofline would look killer like this.

Then skirts, '46 Chevy grille (sorry), and that's about it. Your car's stance is already perfect.

No matter what you do, you're a lucky guy! Congrats on a SWEET score!

Wow! I wouldnt do a thing! The proportions look good as is. Sometimes its nice to stare at a car that looks period.

    Just one opinion.

Give the front an altitude adjustment and call it done. They do look great chopped, but if that car is an original, leave it alone, she looks good as is.

  23. Be a restorer = leave it alone...
Be a rodder = chop it...

I like the chop idea. I never liked the white walls and I lived threw it. I am just a bit if a rodder. The red lines were cool thought.

The way I see it is, your neighbors can cram it. You can be a neighbor anytime.

Mmmm, tasty. But, like the others, I'd leave it as is. It's way cool just like it sets.

If I chop it then I have one to sell you. lol. Looking to give the front end a Calaveras lowering job. Then just cruse it for awhile.
