After many hours of searching the net, as well as help on this forum, I finally found the look I want for my '63 Biscayne tail lights. I took some semi truck stop/tail lights (sealed units), carefully cut the lens's off, and they fit perfectly in the Biscayne tail light bezels! Very pleased, and also happy at the no cost, as they been laying around for years in my "Stuff" Cheers, Bob
Now go one step further........adapt the newer LED type lights that are currently in use. Yours look great!
Geez, the owner likes them a lot...so I say they look good to me. A car looks best with a happy driver
This guy just got a ticket on his truck for no lens covers. By the way if you like them ignore the shit out of me, enjoy your ride.
I like them just because they don't look like every other Biscayne out there. They look smooth and clean. If you like 'em, use 'em. You'll never please everyone.
I can see how they could grow on you. Not bad, really, however.......... ......definitely no LEDs!! Unless, of course, you are also going to install blue headlights and LED w/s washer nozzles.
You just turned a very rough and stressful day all the way around!! I spit beer everywhere! That is the funniest thing ever! Almost as funny as those 1986 J.C. Whitney camper taillights he installed
If your happy that's cool but honestly, how often do you see your own taillights? Changing from a round biscayne light to a 10 dollar round generic napa light seems odd... But still forgot my opinion if they make your car better to you.
I'm not feeling them all that much, but atleast they aren't 59 Caddillac lenses. Maybe with some red candy paint to make them darker like Lee lenses they might look more appealing. Either way, it looks fine if it's what you like.
Thanks for all the comments, both pro and con...Good forum here. I have several extra bezels/tail lights, so can put originals back in anytime if I change my mind. My project is not intended to be total original, just a neat driver that resembles the old "Sleeper Cars". Also on a tight budget. I used '90 Grand Prix black leather bucket seat interior (oh and YES I removed the headrests !!) Actually used two seat bottoms for the back seat, as the original back portion stuck up way into the rear window area. Also being stuck in the older days, nosed the hood and trunk. Getting closer to putting the V8 in, then paint it. (Yep, in my garage) As I have said before, this is a car I never could afford after I graduated (1962).........but unfortunately now that I am retired with the recent crap out of stocks, I don't have any more money than when I was younger... Geesh........ Cheers, Bob
Gotta love all the crap ya drag around for 20+ years . That way you can get some cool taillight lenses that dont cost a dime. I'd go with the dots. Fargemall.
Wow that grand prix interior looks pretty damn good! I never would have thought of the two rear seat bottoms but it lloks great and pretty comfortable...
